We are Camp Cart Rentals, a husband and wife team out of Central Indiana. We have been delivering golf carts to campgrounds, backyard parties, festivals, weddings, race weekends, and just about every other outdoor situation you can think of. Over time, we have noticed that people ask the same questions before they book.
So we put all the answers in one place. No runaround, no vague replies. Just the real information you need to decide if renting from us is the right move for your plans.
Pricing and What Is Included
How much does it cost to rent a golf cart in Central Indiana?
A: Rentals start at $95 per day or $400 for five days. Delivery ranges fron $25-75.
We also offer add-ons like a backpack cooler ($10) and cornhole boards ($20) if you want to make your weekend a little more complete.
What is included with the rental?
A: Electric carts comes with four passenger seating, all-terrain tires, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, headlights, taillights, turn signals, and seat belts. Gas carts come with the same except for speakers, turn signals and seat belts. Our carts are clean, well-maintained and ready to use the moment we drop it off.
Booking and Logistics
How far in advance do I need to book a golf cart rental?
A: We recommend booking at least one to two weeks ahead for most weekend rentals. For major event weekends like Indy 500, Brickyard, county fairs, and holiday weekends, book as early as possible. Those fill up fast.
We run a small fleet by design so every cart gets real attention before it goes out. That also means we do not have unlimited availability. If you have specific dates in mind, the sooner you reach out the better.
How does the delivery process work?
A: You tell us where you are and when you need the cart. We coordinate a delivery window and bring the cart to you, walk you through everything, and leave. When your rental is over, we come pick it up. You do not deal with any of the logistics.
We have delivered to campsites, driveways, event venues, parking lots, farm properties, and plenty of places in between. If you are in our service area and you have a spot for us to drop the cart, we will figure out the rest.
What is the deposit and how does payment work?
A: We require a $100 refundable deposit to hold your reservation. The rental balance is due 72 hours before your delivery date. The deposit is returned after the rental as long as the cart comes back in the same condition it went out.
We accept credit cards. A 4 % processing fee applies. Indiana sales tax of 7& applies to the rental and delivery fees.
What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you cancel 48 hours or more before your delivery date, you get a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of your delivery date, the rental payment is not refundable. If we cancel on our end for any reason, you get a full refund.
The Cart and How It Works
What kind of golf cart do you rent?
A: We rent the EZGO RXV Elite with four passenger seating, all-terrain tires, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, headlights, turn signals, seat belts, and a lithium battery. We also offer a gas powered option.
The EZGO RXV Elite is a quality cart. If you have ever ridden in a beat-up rental cart that felt like it might fall apart, that is not what we have. We take care of our equipment and it shows.
Do you offer electric or gas golf carts?
A: Both. Our lithium electric cart runs quietly, holds a charge across a full weekend of normal use, and does not need to be plugged in for most typical rentals. Our gas cart is available if you prefer gas or have range concerns.
Not sure which is right for your plans? Call or text us at 317-469-8214 and we can talk through it in about two minutes.
How many passengers does the cart hold?
A: Four passengers. Two in the front seat and two in the rear-facing back seat.
Can the cart handle rough terrain?
A: Yes. The all-terrain tires handle grass, gravel, dirt, and campground roads without any issue. The cart is not built for off-road trails but it handles any typical outdoor surface well.
Rules and Requirements
Do I need a driver's license to rent a golf cart in Indiana?
A: Yes. The primary operator must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license.
Can kids ride in the cart?
A: Yes, as passengers with a licensed adult driving. Children cannot operate the cart. All passengers should stay seated with seat belts on while the cart is moving.
Are your carts street legal in Indiana?
A: Our electric carts are equipped with the safety features Indiana municipalities typically require for street-legal golf cart operation. However, whether a cart can be driven on public roads in your specific area depends on local ordinances that vary by city and town. For campgrounds, private property, and event venues, no street-legal rules apply.
If you are planning to use the cart on public roads, call your local city or town to confirm the ordinance for your area before booking.
