The Basics

How much does it cost to rent a golf cart in Central Indiana?

At Camp Cart Rentals, pricing starts at $95 per day plus $25 or $50 roundtrip delivery. That includes the cart, delivery to your location, and pickup when your rental period ends. Do you deliver golf cart rentals or do I have to pick it up?

We deliver. That is the whole point of Camp Cart Rentals. We bring the cart to you, your campsite, your backyard, your event venue, wherever you need it in Central Indiana and we come pick it up when your rental is over. You never have to deal with a trailer or figure out how to haul a golf cart yourself.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend at least one to two weeks ahead for most weekend rentals. If your plans involve a major event weekend like Indy 500, Brickyard, a county fair, a holiday weekend, or peak summer camping season book as early as you can. Those dates fill up fast and we run a small fleet by design. The sooner you lock it in, the better.

What areas do you deliver to?

We serve Central Indiana, covering Hamilton County, Hendricks County, Hancock County, Johnson County, Boone County, Morgan County, and Marion County. The Cart

What kind of golf cart do you rent?

We rent the EZGO RXV Elite, which is one of the best production golf carts available. Our Electric carts in our fleet comes with four passenger seating, all-terrain tires, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, headlights, taillights, turn signals, and seat belts. It is a real cart, not a worn-out beater from a golf course. Our gas EZGO carts come with with four passenger seating, all-terrain tires, headlights and taillights,

Do you offer lithium or gas golf carts?

Both. Our lithium electric carts are quiet, smooth, and hold a charge across a full weekend pending your use. Our gas carts are a good option if you want more range, are not sure about charging access, or just prefer gas. Not sure which is right for your situation? We are happy to talk it through.

How many people does the cart hold?

Four passengers. Two in the front, two in the rear-facing back seat.

Can the cart handle rough terrain?

Yes. Our carts have all-terrain tires and handle grass, gravel, dirt roads, and campground terrain without any trouble. They are not built for off-road trails, but for the typical surfaces you would encounter at a campground, a large property, a fairground, or an outdoor event, they do great.

Driving and Safety

Do you need a driver's license to operate a rental golf cart in Indiana?

For our rentals, the primary operator needs to be 21 or older with a valid driver's license. Indiana state law addresses golf cart operation on public roads differently by municipality, but for private property, campgrounds, and event venues where our carts are most commonly used, a valid license and being 21 or over is what we require. We take safety seriously and every cart goes out clean, inspected, and in good working order.

Are your golf carts street legal in Indiana?

Our EZGO RXV Elite electric carts are equipped with the safety features that Indiana municipalities typically require for street-legal operation, including headlights, taillights, turn signals, and seat belts. However, Indiana golf cart street-legal rules vary by city and county. Whether a cart can be operated on public roads in your specific area depends on local ordinances. We always recommend confirming with your local city or town before operating on public streets. For private property, campgrounds, and event venues, none of that applies.

Can kids ride in the cart?

Yes, as passengers with an adult driving. Kids cannot operate the cart. All passengers should remain seated with seat belts on while the cart is moving. Common sense rules apply.

Booking and Logistics

How does the rental process work?

It is pretty simple. You fill out the rental request form at campcartrentals.com or call us at 317-469-8214. We confirm availability, talk through your location and dates, and send you a rental agreement. You put down a deposit to hold your reservation. You make the final payment. We deliver the cart to you on your start date. You use it. We come pick it up. That is it.

What is the deposit?

We require a $100 deposit + processing fees to hold your reservation. It is fully refundable (minus fees) as long as the cart is returned in the same condition it was delivered. The balance is due 72 hour prior to your delivery.

What if something goes wrong with the cart during my rental?

Call us directly at 317-469-8214. We are local and we respond quickly. We maintain our carts carefully, but if something comes up we want to know about it right away and we will handle it.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens. Reach out to us as soon as you know your plans have changed and we will work with you. The earlier you let us know, the more flexible we can be. Our cancellation policy is at the bottom of our "Rent" page here.
