Indiana Camping Season Fills Up Fast — And So Do We
Here's something a lot of first-time campers learn the hard way: the good weekends go early. Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day — Indiana campgrounds start filling their reservation calendars in January. By the time spring rolls around, the prime sites for summer are already spoken for.
Golf cart rentals work the same way. We're a small, family-owned operation — two carts, no shortcuts. That means we take a limited number of reservations per weekend, and peak season weekends sell out. This isn't a sales tactic. It's just how the calendar works.
The Weekends That Book Fastest in Central Indiana
Memorial Day Weekend
The unofficial start of camping season in Indiana. Campgrounds across Central Indiana hit capacity, families are eager after months of winter, and our cart is almost always spoken for by April if not earlier. If you're planning to camp Memorial Day weekend, we strongly recommend booking your golf cart rental as soon as your campsite reservation is confirmed.
Fourth of July
Labor Day Weekend
The goodbye-to-summer weekend. Families squeeze in one last big trip before school kicks into full gear. Demand is high, availability is tight, and the Indiana weather is usually perfect. Book early.
Any Weekend in July
July is simply peak camping season in Indiana. School is out, the days are long, and every decent campground in Central Indiana is running near capacity most weekends. Don't wait until the week before to figure out your golf cart situation.
How to Reserve Your Rental in 3 Steps
Step 1: Lock in your campsite reservation first. Know your dates, your campground/location, and your site number if possible.
Step 2: Head to campcartrentals.com and submit your rental request with your camping dates and location.
Step 3: We'll confirm availability, coordinate delivery timing, and make sure your cart is at your site and ready when you arrive.
That's it. No complicated forms, no call centers, no runaround. You're talking to the people who own and drive the carts.
What Happens If You Wait Too Long?
Honestly? We'll tell you we're booked and we'll suggest you try for a different weekend. We don't overbook, and we don't make promises we can't keep. Our reputation is built on showing up exactly when and where we say we will.
The good news: if you book early, you'll never be in that situation. We'd much rather confirm your reservation months in advance than turn away a family the week before their trip.
One More Thing: Roxy Approves All Rentals
Our Cane Corso Roxy handles quality control around here. Every cart goes out clean, fully charged, and with Roxy's personal sign-off. She has not once approved a late booking that we were unprepared for. She has very high standards.
Don't make Roxy say no. Book early at campcartrentals.com.
